Associate Board of Directors

The Danzy Board of Directors is seeking new members. Twelve years ago, when the board was formed, they were given the charge to maintain and enrich the family's legacy, manage assets, and increase interest among the eight units of the Sylvia and George Washington Danzy ancestors.

Attending regular meetings, managing the ancestral property, and providing a liaison to the individual family units is just a part of the board's activities. Additionally, the unit representatives hare family news, and seek ways to strengthen the family connections with the Danzy website and newsletter.

Part of the board's charter includes preparing future leaders to continue the family's legacy and strengthen the bonds of the Danzy descendants. The original board is currently seeking family members to join the board as associate members, learn more about the board, and share their time and talents. If you are interested in having an active role, learning more about our rich history, and have a few hours per month to work with the family, we want to hear from you! Perhaps, you would like to work with the family to bring innovative ideas for future generations. Or, maybe you just want the opportunity to work with and learn more about the family.

If so, becoming an Associate Board member may be for you as it allows you to be a catalyst for the association. We are seeking individuals such as yourself who would bring ideas to the table while engaging in the ongoing growth of family unity. By completing the attached form, you will have taken the first step indicating your sincere interest in joining our current board to continue the legacy of George and Sylvia Danzy.
